The gamble

Dare I let go and see where life takes me.

Dare I dream.

The end of my degree and four years of university is coming to a close ad I am left pondering what I will do with myself next year.

I wonder whether what I intend on doing is what I really want to be doing.

I feel so worn down from university. I just don’t know. I’ve been told that I say ‘I don’t know’ too much. It’s deep seeded self-doubt. It’s been there quite some time, it will take some time to budge.

The question is, do I go on with doing honours in photomedia (or photography, call it as you will).

Part of me wants time off, part of me wants to do it, part of me wonders whether I have the talent, part of me wonders whether it is a waste of time, part of me thinks whether I should study something a bit different, and another part of me wants to pursue a romantic dream.

Maybe I’ll soldier on another year and prepare for that dream.

The truth is, I just really love music.

I just want to get over my shyness and play guitar.

Beginnings

So, my friend James Carthew and I have started a musical project under the name of My Beloved Monster. We made a band page on myspace, but given its general decline and the popularity of Facebook, we’re on there too. We’ve written three tracks so far.
